Playtech and Mansion began a partnership in Ontario
As you know, the gambling market in Ontario has recently intensified. As a result, big players, including both well-known software developers and large online casinos, have begun to enter the market. These providers want to capture a large part of the market as soon as possible and attract many users in order to then lead over the competition.
The launch of the joint project will noticeably strengthen the operator's presence in the Canadian gambling market and will take it to a new level.
The previous agreement was signed for five years in 2020, but it was pre-extended this fall.
Representatives of both companies agreed that this cooperation marks an important milestone and will foster a love for high-quality, fair, and reliable gambling in Canadians. In turn, the owners of Playtech added that the permanent goal of the company is the development and entry into new markets, so the current actions are fully consistent with this strategy.
According to the company's chief operating officer, entry into the Ontario market is an essential event for the whole company, which can be called a key one.
Recall that in addition to the deal we described, there were other changes in Playtech just recently: the top-level team was completely replaced. Andrew Smith left his post for personal reasons and was replaced by Chris McGuinness, who has extensive experience in the gambling industry and is ready to contribute to the company's development. He was previously deputy chief financial officer and will perform his old duties until November 28.
